Welcome to Emmi Langnau AG
On 1 July 2021, we changed our company name to Emmi Langnau AG and launched our new website shortly before that. Lots of new things have emerged that we would like to tell you about. Click here to read our articles…
Emmi Benelux – no more folding boxes!
In Holland, the folding box is being replaced by the stand-up pouch. This new look for Emmi Fondü appears fresher, and its bright appearance will become an eye-catcher on the shelves.
«We have to stand out from the competition, and this modern packaging should help to make a difference.»
As a product advantage, the stand-up pouch offers not only the ability to stay upright, but also a large communication and advertising space. For consumers, too, this new packaging in a stand-up pouch offers only advantages. They can simply open the fondue without any aids, so it’s ready to pour into the pan straight away. It also minimises the volume of material for disposal.
Our modern stand-up pouch filling line
Our modern, fully automatic stand-up pouch system is currently running at full speed. Up to 12,000 stand-up pouches are filled every day. The filling process takes place as follows: first, the pouches are grasped, then inflated and then filled with the hot cheese. The stand-up pouches circulate in a kind of «carousel» circuit before they reach the conveyor belt. From here, they go through the cooling process and will be travelling for about 40 minutes until they reach the packaging area.
